The Wright Agency is a family-owned, independent insurance agency that has been serving the individuals, families and businesses of Chester County since 1977.
As an independent insurance agency, we represent our clients and our goal is to offer a variety of alternatives to properly fit their personal and business insurance needs.

Jonathan Wright
As a lifelong resident of Downingtown, Jonathan, graduated from Downingtown Senior High School (before it split) with the Class of 2000. Afterwards he attended Bloomsburg University and obtained his degree in Communications. Following a brief stint working with a Technology Start-Up he joined the family business in 2006. As a licensed insurance agent for over 19 years Jonathan holds his CISR (Certified Insurance Service Representative) designation and is licensed in the states of PA and DE. Outside the office he can be found at many networking events in the area. Jonathan is honored to be a Past President of the Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce (2015) and Downingtown Area Chamber of Commerce (2022, 2023, 2024). He still serves on the Board of Directors at the Downingtown Chamber and has for over a decade. Outside of the office, look for Jonathan at a local “Car Show” or “Cars & Coffee” on the weekends. The rest of the time you can catch him and his wife (Maria) enjoying Chester County with their two young children.
Carolyn Specht
Carolyn is a resident of Downingtown and joined the team at The Wright Agency in 2017. A career in banking for 20+ years is prevalent in her attention to detail, focus on the customer, and friendly face in the agency. As a fully licensed insurance agent Carolyn is equipped to help out with all of your Personal or Commercial insurance needs. Ivette Soto
Ivette joined The Wright Agency in 2021 after a career in banking. She lives in Coatesville with her husband, 4 wonderful kids, and their beloved family dog. When shes not helping clients at the agency she enjoys spending time with her family here in Pennsylvania and also in New Jersey. Ivette is a fully licensed insurance agent and ready to help with all your insurance needs.
Thomas Ellsworth
Thomas is a Pennsylvania native with a background in IT systems administration and a passion for using technology to make things work better—for teams, clients, and communities. He holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Information Science from Penn State University and has spent his career supporting educational and public service organizations through smart, scalable tech solutions.
At The Wright Agency, Tom brings his expertise in automation, virtualization, and cloud platforms to help drive innovation and reliability across our systems. Outside of work, he enjoys staying active—whether it’s biking local trails, hiking with family, or keeping up with his fitness goals. Tom lives in the Royersford area with his wife and four kids, and while he’s always exploring new and emerging technologies, he approaches every solution with a practical mindset and a focus on making well-informed, strategic decisions.
John & Fran Wright
John and Fran have been married since 1970. From raising 3 children to building a business, John and Fran have always been the perfect team. They are retired as of 2017 and are enjoying time with their family and doing some traveling. They have been all over the world! These days a big part of their life is enjoying their 7 grandchildren. 4 boys and 3 girls. John is an avid sports fan, reader, and lifelong lover of boats. Catch him with a boat magazine in his hands most evenings. Fran is still active in her church and loves to take her evening walks. Both stop by The Wright Agency from time to time to say Hi!
